Mudguard looking much better than when picked up

Almost there !!

Swinging arm has been powdercoated and bearings and seals checked and greased

Front mudguard and brace. Mudguard scrap, new one on the way from America

Sissy bar components powder coated in metallic black. The pictures do not do them justice. They look really good especially when the sun catches them.

Tank now looking good on the bike

Welcome to my latest project

Picked up this Yamaha XV1100 Virago on an 'N' plate after a 300 mile round trip to the Leeds area (21st September 2015)

The bike has a good strong engine and is still MOT'd until March next year. The bike needs a complete cosmetic makeover especially on the mudguards and exposed alloy components. It has apparently spent most of the last few years living in a garage very close to the sea. Below will be the journey of the bike from its current condition to hopefully a beautifully restored Virago. Pictures will be added at different stages of the makeover starting with its arrival at Green Haven on the back of my bike trailer. If you like the look of this bike it is up for sale at any point in the restoration - Make me an offer !!!

Brace polished up nicely
